(d)evolve 〰️
(D)evolve was an experiential show about new Beginnings.
Connecting to the roots of being. exploring. Never less, but evermore.
Art as the medium, acting as the vessel towards confronting our (inner)selves.
Ascending beyond complexity. Removing the unnecessary. Forgetting the contradictions of the mundane.
Thank you for joining us for this multi-disciplinary experience as we connected the dots between ourselves, our thoughts, and one another.
Special Thanks to Our Hosts: The Thing & Tennis Courts
We are sincerely thankful to all the talented artists that participated and aligned with this idea.
A few of the works exhibited are available for procurement. Please reach out to info@tanthem.org / @tanthemlive or the artist directly.

Carly Terreson | Instagram | Art & Pricing
Carly Terreson is an artist and arts educator currently based in New York. She earned her BFA in Painting and Community Arts from California College of the Arts in Oakland, CA. She has worked in a handful of the Bay Area’s art organizations and schools as a teaching artist and youth and disability advocate. She’s shown her work in exhibitions and galleries on both coasts and has been an artist in residence at Luminous Bodies residency on Toronto Island in Canada.
Her work is informed by and grounded in the body(ies), capturing intimate moments or collective gatherings. She aims to examine the relationships between self and others, its layered complexities and understandings through the processes of painting, printmaking, sculpture and performance. She is continually informed by her own community and connections, expressions of care and love, conversations, performance, movement, people watching and when we gather small or large.
Christine Sikking | INSTAGRAM
Christine is an intermedia artist working in performance, live video programming, and interactive installation. Caught in-between the digital and physical realm, her work examines how the human eye or physical touch can interrupt, absorb, and alter the reality of space. Like a sunbeam, a shadow, or a stranger walking in the back of a photograph, she creates an environment in which an image has the opportunity to appear. Often site-specific and interactive, the final appearance of the work is dependent on the viewer's engagement and shifting perspective.
Jiwon Ra | INSTAGRAM | Art & Pricing
Jiwon Ra is a multidisciplinary creative with a degree in Fashion Design and Fine Art from Parsons School of Design. As a citizen of South Korea, a permanent resident of Hong Kong, raised in England and Japan, and currently residing in New York, she takes an introspective and soulful approach to making cross-cultural references in her artwork. Her designs are rooted in critical thinking and redefining the traditional codes of dress through challenging the infrastructures that are entrenched in waste and inefficiency. Through linking her innovative textile experimentations with her unique cultural perspective, she continues to push the boundary between fashion design and academic discourse.
Michael Fortenberry | INSTAGRAM | Art & Pricing
Michael Fortenberry is an interdisciplinary artist and art educator based in the Hudson Valley. He received his BFA at University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA and is currently working on his Master of Fine Arts at SUNY New Paltz with an emphasis in sculpture. Michael has exhibited work throughout the United States with works sitting in private collections on display in Washington, Colorado, and New York. Currently the artist in residence at Glasshouse Art.Life.Lab for a six month duration and working on a collaborative project for the Byrdcliffe Biannual show Shelter at the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild, home of the Bycliffe art colony in the 1900s.
Michael works with the manipulation of raw material, allowing for the material to guide aesthetic choices through its inherent limitation. Captivated by creating objects that appear to be in constant movement through rigid and organic forms of nature. Michael creates a meditative experience between the viewer and the artwork by guiding the eye through representation of landscape. He is concerned with projections of nature and the constructed natural world around our lives. There is an illusion of control, yet natural processes will continuously push us to extinction until we learn to create an existence where we are integrated into the ecosphere.
